KCEL gives you a hard time, once you want to transfer to another school. The staff have orders not to let students go without informing the Laoban. Once you've survived the barking woman with the fake smile (the right hand of the Laoban), after talking to the Laoban, and after hours of wasted time you will finally get your transfer sheet. You do not need to tell them to which school you want to transfer. It is only for their record. The name of the new school does not have to be on the transfer sheet!
Yesterday morning I've been rejected too! I've tried to transfer from KCEL to Huayang. Both schools have been informed right after the interview that my student visa can't be renewed.
Unfortunately I have not been told how to deal with the interview in advance. Anyways I did not lie, I said that I haven't been traveling a lot during school terms. But maybe it seemed a lot for the PSB guy. He said my record was bad. This year I didn't attend class for about 5 days only. So wtf?
I did not understand what was going on at first. Outside after the interview the boss from Huayang explained my situation. It pisses me off that I've had no chance to explain anything to the PSB guy. It also did not seem that Huayang try do stand up for me, but I don't want to blame them, maybe it is the Chinese way or it has other reasons. Well, Huayang promised to pay me back.
I don't understand why all students (also old ones) from Huayang need to do those interviews.
At KCEL for example only new students have to do that. Everybody knows KCEL's reputation. Even the PSB guy mentioned that. On the other hand KCEL has good connections to the PSB, otherwise they would not know one day in advance about an upcoming raid.
KCEL told me, once you have been rejected, it is impossible to get a new student visa within 3 years.
If this is true, it doesn't make sense to go to Thailand, come back as a tourist and apply again. Students who only want to learn Chinese need to change the city, others need to try to get a work visa or should get married ;-)
