Me and my husband have been in Kunming on a six month tourist visa which is due to expire soon. We are British citizens.
We study with a private tutor so do not have the option of a student visa.
We are planning to go to Thailand in a few weeks to try and get a new visa. We are aware that we can get a one month extension here in Kunming but hoping to get a longer visa if we leave the country.
Does anyone have any experience of getting a Chinese visa from Bangkok and know how many days/ entries we will be able to get as a British passport holder.
I am hoping to go to Heijing in December and was hoping to stay at the Wu family courtyard - but I am struggling to find any contact details for them. Does anyone know how I could contact them?
I would also be keen for any advice on things to do in the area as I would like to stay two nights.
I can see you arrived at the end of August but if you are still keen on meeting other English speakers, me and my husband arrived in Kunming three days ago.
We are both 29 years old and from London. We are planning on living here for the year so would be really keen to meet new people.
If you fancy meeting for a drink one night that would be great.
Laura.
