Passport Visa Pages: How Many?

Is there a final word on how many blank visa pages China requires in one's passport in order to get a work visa?

It is not about how many pages you have left in your passport it is about the the expiration date of your passport. You need at least 6 months left on your passport. So if you want a 1 year working visa you need the passport to be valid for 1.5 years.

Plus you need a blank page for the visa. If you have less than 18 months validity on the passport then they will give you a visa only as long as the passport minus 6 months.

If the visa takes up your last blank page then travelling may be difficult if there is no space for entry/exit stamps.

I have read and heard (but conflicting information) that they require 5 blank visa pages in a valid passport.

When does your passport expire and how many pages left in your passport? Each page has a number or a letter.

It expires in several years, and there are 3 "visa" pages left. Does anyone know the answer to my question?

How many blank pages does the Chinese government say to have in order to procure a work visa?

You'll need at least ONE blank page in your passport, so they can paste your visa in. But to exit - you'll need a blank square to stamp the exit stamp - which make 1.25 blank pages...so if you have less than 2 blank pages - best to level up.

Don't forget - if you renew your passport - you MUST report it to your local PSB (paiqusuo), to your employer - and if you opened bank accounts etc - you'll also need to update your bank account with the new passport.

If you have a driver's license - which is attached to your passport - you'll need to update that also...along with any other official documents tied to your passport...
