Anyone have any experience with either of two tailor shops on Jian She Lu, near Shi Fan Da Xue? One has a sign which says, in Pin Yin, Yuan Ye Zhi Yi. The other, a few steps up-hill, has Sichuan Fashion Tailors on their sign. I'd like to get some shirts and pants made.

I went to the Sichuan one once to have the sleeves shortened and he ruined an expensive suit. Both cuffs now lean to the left and aren't even the right length. I was in a rush though, and thought he could have done an emergency job. But regardless of where you go, make sure you insist SEVERAL times on what you want from top to bottom and on taking the right measures, otherwise you'll end up with what they think is tasteful.
