Burger King

Good new that BK is finally coming to KM. If you need a burger, BK is about as good as it gets for a fast food burger. When I travel to other Chinese cities, I always make a stop at their BK for a nice burger.

I just pray the BK is done right here. Remember when DQ finally arrived in Kunming? Man, I thought we finally will have real ice cream in Kunming. What a disappointment!

DQ is horrible. The franchise owners have been allowed to use Chinese products to make this yuck. So it all tastes terrible. I am surprised this is allowed. DQ in other cities tastes "normal".

@mmkunming teacher.
how do you measure and determine age and variety of a culture.

to my knowledge when we left ccontinental africa we all started different cultures equally old and broad.

Dudeson's, true, but I guess I was talking about extant cuisine. Also, I am not arguing that people should not be able to eat American fast food. Everyone can eat whatever he or she wants. My only argument is that American fast food is just not good food, by the standards of gastronomy.

well...I think to talk about gastronomy and good food is not just say "live in the country with world's second oldest and most varied cuisine" or "American fast food is just not good food" good food is just the food we like ( Chinese, american or whatever ) if someone love to eat BK or just cup noodles that's perfect, even if is unhealthy or "not good"by the standards of gastronomy.....
enjoy your dinner my forum friends...

leo,27, and I agree. People can and should eat whatever they like. And true that old cuisines are not necessarily great cuisines (though I would argue that they generally are). My only point is that American fast food is not objectively "good food" by the standards of gastronomy.
