Microwave Question

Shyam (244 posts) • 0

That must have been the most stupid nurse in the world! Last time I heard all nursing students needed to study basic sciences, including biology. Even middle school kids in the U.S. learn that human cells have a very fragile cell wall structure. If you rupture the cell wall, the cell dies. Just as freezing destroys cell walls, so does rapid internal heating.

That nurse must have been utterly "short-changed by God".

By the way, I'm happy to have provided an unintentional forum for such an eclectic discussion. Mysterious Chinese microwaves....convection ovens...apocryphal Soviet laws...radialogical pseudo-science...and just think. All I wanted to do was to find a way to bake some bread. I LOVE you guys!

Tony, where does it say that human beings are only allowed to have a limited number of opinions about a limited number of topics? The Bible?

And why should people stop themselves from expressing an opinion? Because you're a petty little man who knows nothing about nothing? If you're a narrow-minded bigot, it's YOUR problem. Please don't make it my problem.

Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right. And fools named Tony stuck in the middle with me.

Hates other people because they express opinions that he doesn't have and that he doesn't like and that he doesn't understand.

You horrible human being you.

@Magni

How do you get away with calling posters drunks, fools, petty little men and a narrow-minded bigot?

Too bad you edited your recent post as I was going to agree that you are delusional. Also edited out was, what seemed to me, to be an admission you feel you have the right to post misinformation.

I can't understand how in light of keeping "things civil and refrain from personal attacks," you keep getting away with your trash talk.

Moderator?

He attacked me first.

"It truly amazes me how GoK is "blessed" with "experts" that seems to know a wide ranging field of knowledge as they espouse words of wisdom in every topic in this forum."

That's not trash talk, you think? What is it then? I asked him why he's so obsessed with how many posts I have and why my opinions bother him so much. He refused to answer, so I took the liberty of interpreting it myself.

It's a joke that I'm being attacked for posting misinformation. It's an OPINION and you're not a child so you should be able to make up your mind whether you want to agree with it or not. And half the information you get anywhere is misinformation, by the way.

And PS. SerenaLi thanked me for posting on the dog thread and asked me to keep posting. It was providing emotional support. Yet HFCAMPO and Tony think I'm an arrogant know-it-all because I claim to know how to find lost dogs. Who the hell are you people to be telling WHO to post and WHAT to post and HOW to post and WHAT NOT to post? Seriously, give it a rest.

"By the way, I'm happy to have provided an unintentional forum for such an eclectic discussion. " Sometimes this is referred to as "wildly off topic."

"Does it not therefore follow that this form of heating does, indeed, do 'something different' to the substances being heated?" Yeah, it is called "cooking." Mrs Levitt was transfused with cooked blood which one might guess would not function as uncooked blood and possibly gum up the works.

As for being a frequent poster, @Magnifico is a piker with another posted posting at a rate nearly 2.5 times more often.

To continue the eclectic nature of this discussion, I'd say over reacting to certain other posters as hating ones self or imagining one's self as the unidentified target of certain posters suggests some sort mental aberration. But, hey, that is only an opinion.

Dear Mr. Magnifico, where in my post did I condemn you for posting your opinion and yet you seem pretty quick to denounce me for my opinion with a tirade, what do you call this in English, irony or hypocrite?

Unlike you, my comments address specific factualities rather than making personal attacks. Is it not factual that some GoK users seems to make a comment in just about every thread and topic offering opinions and non-mainstream viewpoints using pseudo-science as evidence without contributing anything to to conversation other than to make a snide remark and making one's self feel important?

Really, using a bullhorn wandering around the streets of KM looking for a dog, is that a serious and helpful suggestion? A man died in France and instead of condolences, a remark was made of how statistics show billionaires tend to die early in China. First of all, where is the statistics? I doubt there was one. Second, how callous does a man have to be to publicly state, in essence, "no big deal, Chinese billionaires die all the time"

My apologies to Shyam for making this "wildly off topic" remark, but I promise you, GoK was a much nicer place many, many years ago when I first signup. It was a place where people actually cared for each other and tried to help each other instead of the cynicism that we have today. People actually had intelligent, heated debates without resorting to name calling and personal attacks.

Anyway, to redeem myself somewhat and stay on topic, I haven't been in the market for microwaves in the last few year, but I can't imagine how Chinese microwaves are any different than in the US. When I last went shopping for a microwave, they've all had the glass carrousel to turn the food. I don't see why China would not have the newest microwave technology. If they have a metal plate now then it is perhaps the newest thing in microwaves?

It was a JOKE. and an exaggerated and absurd way to suggest that i would offer any kind of support to locate the dog. And she got the joke, found it amusing, and was touched that a stranger would offer that kind of support, even if it was outrageous.

How come she got it but it escapes you? Maybe there's something wrong with YOU? Is everyone supposed to be totally and utterly serious about everything and never use sarcasm? Yeah, so we can all be dull people like you.

Seriously, it's sad and pathetic and creepy to go through people's posts and dictate what they should or shouldn't have said. Get a life.
