There seem to be no shortage of singles advertisements on here ranging from "looking for naughty fun" and "looking for two women" to what at least seem like fairly genuine posts. I think it has already been mentioned in a recently deleted thread that some of these do stretch the boundaries of good taste.
Why don't the GoKunming team start a dedicated dating website for the area? I see enough interest already, they could surely make great advertising revenue and it would certainly clean this website of some "offensive" posts.
I'm sure it would be heaven for their slightly trigger happy moderator too.... Surely he's get a pay rise

You are presuming I'm being sensitive but I was merely making a genuine suggestion.

I feel that this site of late has been fairly heavy handed in its moderation and was merely pointing out it seems hypocritical to block genuine discussion while allowing these ads.

"Nobody forces you to go there to read". That statement is so sweeping it could be used for the whole internet and thus negate the need for any moderation or censorship of any kind

But if they did that then GoKunmiong runs the risk of becoming more like the forums sites in place like Beijing or Shanghai or even Chengdu, full of excitement and varied opinions and heated debates. Can't have that in Kunming, the touchy touchy feel good Spring Time City.

A couple of things spring to mind.

Singles site would not change the moderation, you would still be unappy.

A separate site or area would need a lot of managing.

These sites are often magnets for spam and porn links.
Magnets for carpet baggers, agents, agencies, etc.

A specific site for this mayh leave GoK more liable if there are 'problems'. Small ads have the same risks, but people tend to be less trusting and more careful.

Moderation is easier on a forum.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

I think having a dedicated area for dating is not a bad idea and could probably bring in some extra revenue.
