Hey, I've seen some posts here from a few years ago about possible places to do western boxing in kunming, but nothing up to date. Does anyone know of any definite information about gyms or clubs?
Previously have been studying wing chun in Kunming but am looking for something different.
If anyone has an address or anything, I'll check it out and report back what's going on.
I'm also interested in this for when I potentially move in the new year... would love to be able to get back into boxing.
Worst case scenario, I'd be up for getting together and training together, work some combos, light sparring.

There is a gym located in in the hotels compound. This is where China's first world champion by a recognized boxing organization (WBC) Xiong trained/trains.
You are supposed to pay for membership but you could ask to try it out at the start. It will be mostly young boxers and their are a few senior guys there too.
Sweet, thanks for the links! I'm a shit boxer, but I started boxing about a year and a half ago at the gym GSP trains at (UFC welter weight champ) and have loved it.
Another random question, but what kind of sports are available for foreigners? Nothing too serious since I just play in beer leagues at home... I imagine there's plenty of soccer, badminton and basketball, but what about baseball/softball?
@jopasny
We play Ulitmate frisbee twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays in the afternoon 4:30/5pm till dark at the tourism college on longquan rd. Ultimate is a running sport, but beer is also an important feature.

Awesome, good to hear. I'm down for just about any sport that can accommodate drinking. Might be a while until I partake since I'm not moving to KM for another few months, but I'm always happy to find out about goings in my future place of residence.
