I will be moving to Dali this month and I would love any advice and info you guys have about living in Dali. I will be there a couple months, so it isn't long term, but it isn't just a short vacation either. I have one job lined up, but i'm also looking for some part time jobs and other things to get involved with as well.

There are clean hotel rooms for 50/rmb per night in Dali. That may be an option for short to medium term. It will also be more secure, as I know expats places have been a target for local thieves.

Cheap hotel might be a place to start looking for something else.

Employment. There was a place in Dali advertising for 'teachers wanted' a day or so ago. Part time only, and so it may suit you.
