Elsewhere, I've seen it on mantou, with lettuce, grated cucumber, ssuce. I suspect the wu da na bing would be a good substitute for pita bread, but no one seems do this in practice. Suggest it to your favorite street vendor!

Personally, I find shao kao is a good alternative!

Which country or city has the best doners? I heard it's big in Russia but never been. I assume Germany is good since all Germans I know drool when they hear that word :)

Yes, that is doner kebab. The ones in stick are shish kebab.
