Does anyone know exactly where they'll be? They sent the address but it's in pin yin and not specific.

I always liked going to Chengdu to get things done there, cool city with great food, Chinese and Western both. My friend here had his passport updated through the visiting consulate and all went okay except fot for the nightmare of trying to find it once it arrived back here in KM. Took three weeks for the lady at the school post office to get up and look for it and he was the one who found it under a stack of other parcels. He said he would not do it that way again. But for extra pages and other services it wold be okay I guess, but it can take so long to wait for them.

Does anyone know when the next US Consulate visit to Kunming will be? Today is May 6, 2014.

They just came on April 19th. You can e-mail them. They usually show up about every 3 to 4 months.

Just an update. Got my new passport via EMS. No problems. Very happy all went well. It took 14 business days from the 19th of April. Not a bad experience.
