Does anyone know where I might find some horseradish? 辣根? I'm not looking for horseradish sauce as that does not go well with bloody marys. I bought some at Metro over a year ago but they don't seem to stock it anymore although the brand, Kiihne, is still on their shelves. Pickles, red cabbage, sauerkraut that kind of stuff they still carry under the same brand name. Checked Wal-mart and Paul's...sans dice. Mmmmm bloody marys.

I was lookking for horseraddish for a longer while, but there is no horseraddish in Kunming right now. Also on taobao I found nothing.
I fortunatelly just got 10 glasses from Germany.

If you have somebody who can ship it to you, I guess this is your best option.

if it's Bloody Marys you seek, you could do worse than sunday afternoons at Lazy Bones - there's breakfast items, grilled meats, and decent pour DIY Bloodies, complete with horseradish. i dunno about the subtleties of horseradish vs horseradish sauce, but i always found myself able to mix something palatable over there. plan pizza for dinner too, and you can drink straight through :)
