Hi Juan, I'm interested in finding out more about your group. Is is the same as the one that meets on Saturdays at the Fat Tire Bike Shop?
If not, where do you meet? And when? Saturday or Sunday or both?
Have you got a planned schedule for the next few months or do you decide week by week?
I'm an English teacher and I live and work at Yunnan Agricutural University, which is on the far north side of Kunming. I bought a bike last April but then went away in the summer for 2 months, came back at the beginning of September, so haven't really explored that much.
Sorry, but I can't speak Chinese. Only English, French and Italian.
I'll be away for the next two weekends because of the National Holiday but will be here Sat 16th Oct and Sun 17th Oct.

I would be interested as well. Right now, I am off to Lijiang for about 2 weeks. I was on a great ride this past Saturday with a Chinese rider who spoke good English. We had an enjoyable easy ride around northeast of Kunming to Shuang Long and where we went to a great and cheap local restaurant.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your email. I've been planning a cycle tour to Tenchong/Nujiang and I've been busy. In my original query I asked if you would be interested in cycling with some of the local clubs but now I'm thinking it would be more interesting to form our own group of foreign and Chinese cyclists to explore the local area. I've been cycling with local clubs in Kunming for 5 years and I have a lot of experience cycling with both Chinese and Westerners. Call me and we can exchange ideas.

Hey guys, I just came back from Tengchong and Ruili, it was a long ride, the road made me mad!

I think this week we can do some biking around kunming! 23th& 24th Oct.

To clairette: if just for weekend biking, I suggest you to rent a MTB, call me if you have trouble with that!

I am back from Lijiang and I am up for any decent medium to long rides (50K to 80K) on all or mostly paved roads. I ride a 16" wheel 3 speed dahon folding bike so I don't do any of the mountain dirt road rides.
