Hello everyone, I am a 21 year old Canadain wanting to live and learn in Dali.

I am fond of the 2 year associates degree program to learn mandarin Chinese and culture in Yunda.

Does Dali university host a similar program?
If so, where can I find information?

Yes you can study Chinese at the Dali College (it's not yet an University).
Currently there are 5 classes with all different levels and 5 ... 10 students each.
There teachers are all professionals, most of them have received Master degrees in teaching foreigners Chinese, and studying is much fun.

Currently there are no HSK tests in Dali, they plan to have them soon, in the meatime it is easy to go to Kunming to attend external tests.
Schoolfees are subject to changes and (!) negotiations, they may range from 6.000 RMB up per term. Due to the good relations with the XiaoGuan PCB you can get up to one year Visa, provided you paid the fees ;-)

When does the semester begin?
do your semesters turn into a degree?

do locals and foreigners both attend the college?

I can be in Dali late next week, if there is someone to show me around...

I don't think the Dali College can offer you a degree, however you can get it externally.

This term will end January 14th. Next term will start around March 1rst.
