Hi there,
I'm just starting Mandarin lessons next week and the cost is considerably cheaper if I can find some classmates. 35RMB for two students, 25RMB for more (but I'd probably limit it at 3 or 4, should I be so lucky).
Come join me!

Hey Catherine,
Have you found anyone yet? I was gonna get started in January but this sounds not to bad - problem is I will go back to Canada for Christmas so I'll miss a couple of weeks. I'll give you a ring tomorrow (Saturday) to discuss.
Bruce
Hi Catherine,
I know it was a few months ago, but are you still looking for people to share lessons with? My partner and I may be interested in joining in.
Carolyn
Hi Carolyn,
if you're looking for joining a small class to learn Chinese, accordng to my experience of teachers in Kunming i can recommend you a very good teacher which is also organising small classes. the price is acceptable and the teacher is professional (graduated to be teacher for foreigners), i can only say that i did not waste my time with her and my Chinese improved significantly. moreover, you can join for free for one time i think, just need to ask her.
you can contact her by phone (150 870 66 434)
hope this help,
leila
Hey Carolyn,
If you two want to join the class, you're more than welcome. It's from 1:30 - 3:30 at KCELC. I'm out of town til next week but my classmates Bruce and Max should be there. I think. Anyway, I know you can sit in one day for free so you can check what level you're at compared to us.
Good luck!
Catherine
KCELC adjust the price according to the number of students !!!??
i think this is a joke !
you'd better check a little bit before to give your money to this school ( www.inkunming.com/index.php?topic=82.0 )

Hi jade554,
They do charge based on students, up to four people. I don't think that's too unusual for anywhere but the large universities.
Though I've heard it can be hit or miss with the instructors, I've been very happy with mine.
cheers,
Catherine
yes, i agree it can be hit or miss with the teachers, especially at KCELC.
