Hello everyone

Does anybody know where/how to find certain types of spices such as lemon grass, candle nuts, kafir leaves etc aside from Metro? even in Metro I couldn't find candle nuts. Knowing that Dai Zu dishes are similar to Thai which uses of lemon grass, however I've been living in Kunming for more than 2 years and still couldn't find them easily, so if anybody knows, share it with me :-)

When we bought spices for Thai dishes we loaded up at the last south east asian trade show at the convention center. There were several Thai exhibitors who brought their wares including spices and rice. You may also want to check with the folks at Moonlight Corner restaurants at either the Green Lake location or at the Expo Gardens location. They seem to have fresh ingredients all the time.

For Indian spices I had to actually visit an Indian spice shop in Hong Kong. That was two years ago. Hopefully, that situation has improved.
