Trump VS. The Resistance

Likewise I placed a thumbs down on the comment.
@bucko you could of made your view clear there without adding that same old sweeping view of Muslims comment at the end. I'm an atheist personally but see no reason to blame problems on others due to a few bad eggs in the religion!

Sounds like going back in time when Jews, Catholics etc were all getting the same reception from America. A country founded by immigrants, against immigrants. It seems just too ironic!

Perhaps if you saw daily news reports of Muslims on religious patrol in the UK demanding English women cover up or harassing people they think are gay you might begin to wonder what is going on.

In the US, where any sort of prayer is forbidden in public schools, religious instruction in Islam is now permitted in the name of diversity.

Also, there is a distinction between immigrants, those who are legal and documented and illegal immigrants that is ignored by liberals and media. Some jurisdiction deliberately free violent criminals to insure they will not be deported.

Many Americans, regardless of color and ethnicity, are feeling they now have less rights that illegal immigrants.

I agree with @Geezer in that I sure wouldn't want ANY religious groups patrolling the streets, nor would I want ANY religion in the public schools. Americans who trust in our constitution want a clear separation of Church and State. Unfortunately, Trump wants otherwise. Note from the news today (my remarks in parentheses):

"Trump is expected to take executive action on Thursday to effectively lift a ban on political activity by religious (including Islamic) institutions. Trump will mark the National Day of Prayer (to whom? Allah, Buddha? Jesus?) by issuing guidance to federal agencies like the Treasury Department on how to interpret a law that says that religious (Islamic) organizations risk losing their tax-exempt status if they participate in political campaigns."

So if you're a conservative Islamic cleric preaching Sharia Law in the US and supporting like-minded political candidates or causes, your institution need not fear losing its tax exempt status! The Trump administration will help protect your religious freedom.

Geezer, have you ever seen a religious patrol? I used to live in Rusholme Manchester, one of the most Muslim areas of the UK. I never saw or heard about a religious patrol. Sounds like Daily Mail/Express nonsense to me. Even if it has happened, it's not a big deal if people are free to ignore them/ give them dog's abuse.

The UK is extremely diverse, especially the two areas I've lived in (Manchester and London).Yet I've never seen or heard of these type of 'patrols ' in the UK. Seems a strange One that maybe might of happened in some secluded incidents rather than something that's the norm.

The illegal immigrants are not Muslim as a group either, they're the worlds failed from many ethnicity and religions which throughout history have always existed trying to enter varying large societies of the time.

If Trump wants to build a wall etc to try and keep illegal immigrants out then good luck to him.

They'll always find a new way in!

I have seen a few videos, the main topic seems to be the need to respect Islam as Islam was going to dominate the world anyway.

Stratocaster is correct about Trump's executive action, which Trump claims will protect Christians, will also provide license to aggressive behavior by Muslims.

I do not want to be hassled by any religion or religious group. When I see calm, quiet discussions, on TV, with US and UK Muslims explaining how everyone should follow Sharia law in order to show respect to Islam, it becomes clear there is no compromise, only submission.

sharia is only for muslims and some muslim countries, so dont worry. all you have to do is not convert and not live in saudi or similar countries

I don't want to be hassled by a shopkeeper as I walk down the street but they're easily ignored :p
Religion is slowly dying out over time anyway!

Trump or resistance are not going to change that.
