So we were given a load of great books by former Kunming residents Pierre and Sandra and they have given us permission to use them for a fundraiser. If you are after some good books, feel free to take what you want and make whatever contribution you can.

The books are in a wooden chest displayed at the back of the new half of Salvador's. Please leave your donation with the staff at the bar.

If anyone out there knows a used bookstore that might be interested in a larger purchase, or has any other ideas how to put these books to good use, please pass along your thoughts here.

Income from these book sales will be used to finance future trips for Salvador's staff, is that right? A worthy cause, but I think it should be made clear.

@ Alien, yes that is correct. We gave the people who donated the books the option that funds raised go to China California Heart Watch or to a future trip for Salvador's staff and they chose the latter.
