I started noticing less gunk floating around my tea and less water spots on my wine glasses. Decided to fill a glass up from the tap and drink. Seems to have improved. Anyone else think so?

Seems cleaner where I live too, but I always boil tap water as per Chinese practice - doesn't affect any possible gunk, but it kills bacteria.
Kunming tap water comes from different sources / reservoirs. This explains the differences over time. Recently we had a high level of calcium resulting in hard water thus more spots on your glasses and stiffer laundry (If you don't use fabric softener. Softer water now means you can use less softener)
