Kennels surely. No need to dress it up as 'Doggy Day Care', you're after some kennels.

Let's call a spade a spade and make the whole thing easier, no?

There are some in the south of the city on Kun Nan Lu.

I take my dog to the Kunming Dongfang Veterinary Clinic (昆明东方宠物医院)on Xihua N. Rd. (西华北路). Their number is 6410 0759.

Price varies according to the dog's weight and whether or not you bring the food. The staff are quite nice, and walk the dogs at least once a day (you can request more). My dog has stayed there several times, and we haven't had any issues. He doesn't necessarily like being left there for days on end, but he likes all the staff, which is a good sign.

I have used kennels and cages too. To be honest I even feel a little safer doing if that way. They may get bored and lonely but i am sure they will still be alive when we return. This was something else I tried when we went to India and it was free for me. If could be free for Judy too though a donation would help his cause. It is like a dog shelter, almost like a humane society but animals are never put to sleep. J will try it again.

I think that would be a good business to start here. Have a dog walking service and a dog 'daycare'. Hell even a dog park would bring in the bucks. More and more Chinese are buying dogs as pets as oppose to eating them. Ha.Ha.

There's a place near behind the Good World (好世界)up north which is good. We drop our dog off there every time we travel. Rates are 55rmb per night. They seem to look after the dogs well with a couple of walks per day...we normally request more though! Let me know if you want more details.

A lot of dog grooming shops can do this for small dogs. Maybe ask your local one. Not sure if they walk the dogs, but they don't lock up the small ones in a cage.

I dont mind paying a bit more for a good service, just as long as my pups ok. Shes not been away from me for more than a few days, im definetely the worrier in this haha.
