Tonight I dined at 1910 La gare du sud. I had a truly amazing experience. The restaurant itself is on a former French colonial railway station, and still has a bit of the old tracks. The food was Yunnan food, and prepared and presented in a masterful manner. The flavors were truly excellent, proving that Yunnan food can compete with China's best. The prices were high, but I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience delicious Yunnan food, in an amazing setting.
Please post restaurant reviews in the proper section, ie., it does not belong in the forum. Please at least pretend to believe in the proper netiquette that you thrust upon others by following them yourself.

Forums are for discussions, I see no topic offered for discussion, only a review of a restaurant, which would mean it belongs in the review section. But of course, you know this already as you have posted reviews in the past.

Jean, if you have been in Yunnan for the past 5 years, it would be safe to assume that you spent most of that time either in Kunming, Dali, or Lijiang, in which case, it would also be safe to assume, you did not just recently happen upon GoK website as you yourself have implied in another thread. If you have been keeping up with the website you should already know that there is a reviews section where restaurant reviews should go.
In any case, you can either pretend to be some new guy who is unfamiliar with the expat community in Yunnan and GoK despite living here for the past 5 years, or someone who's been around, kept up with the expat scene and the forum, thus allowing you to speak with authority on matters that concern long-term residents of KM, BUT YOU CAN'T BE BOTH.
Either you're pregnant or you're not; you either have blue eyes or you don't, there is no middle ground.
So I ask you again, are you someone that has been reading GoK site for years and is familiar with what has happened in the past, or someone new to the GoK scene and know nothing about the personalities and thus should not be judgemental and opinionated towards long time contributors without getting to know their stories first.

Funny story Geezer: Last night I really wanted to stay up and watch [insert your favorite sports team here] which was playing in [insert your home town here]. So I drank lots of coffee and took lots of caffeine to stay awake so I can watch, but then I remembered I had to get up early in the morning so I can respond to all the new postings on GoK so I took some sleeping pills.
Long story short, I am now asleep AND awake as I am writing this.
