Those of us who have been around a while, and are accustomed to zombie-meat scandals, gutter oil, fake banks and what not else, are not surprised about a recent vaccine scandal. Some laowais may even think its cool, who knows, and maybe even suggest that those pathetic cases that dont like zombie-meat and fake vaccines should go home.
Anyway, theres a new scandal going on, and according to todays Yunnan news this is being investigated. Those of you who have been, or have had kids been vaccinated, or are about to be, may want to have some friend translate some recent news.

BBC report says 24 provinces and cities, but not really clear in that context if they mean Shandong or all of China.
@Peter99.. I don't know what your problem is but suggesting that laowais may think of this and other scandals where children may have died as a result as cool makes you sound like an ignorant jerk.
It's pretty scary, this scandal, much like the baby milk one where you have no clue if the vaccine or milk is tainted. So what do you do? Take your chances? You just never know.

The ringleaders, who have been arrested, were allegedly a mother and a daughter who purchased the vaccines from licensed and unlicensed sources, and then sold them on to illegal agents or local disease control and prevention centres for high prices, reported Xinhua state news agency.
They also released details on the affected vaccines, which included those for - polio, rabies, mumps, encephalitis, hepatitis B and meningococcal diseases.
