Is it possible to stay at the Wu Family Mansion in Heijing and is it recommended?

Directly across from Wu is a family guesthouse for 60 RMB. Wu hotel is 180 RMB and more during holidays. A few years ago I went to Heijing during May Day. Not a single place was vacant. Because it was too late to get out we had to get a ride to a nearby village where all we can get was a room with no bathroom - nasty. Golden Week is NOT the time for Heijing unless you already have reservations.

Thanks HFCAMPO. I wouldn't consider going anywhere during the Golden Week. I was silly enough to try that last year.
