there are some in yunnan but they are crazy expensive.

also keep in mind there are height limitations for dogs.

vets and vaccinations are very affordable.

and yes, if you live animals, don't buy at the bird and flower market. most horror stories are true. many dogs are sick, have HD (not high definition...lol), and some are sprayed to look cute.

one time i saw a dog dying there, the seller kicked it's body to the trashcan (still breathing) and threw it in the trash.....monsters.

be responsible. buy from a good seller and treat your pet with dignity and respect. and both of you will be happy.

How awful! Nothing could be done to help the poor dog that was kicked in the trash. So sad.

be aware too that there are 30+ banned breeds in kunming. get a dog that fits your lifestyle, don't buy a retriever unless you walk a lot everyday. dont buy a poodle and leave it home alone it'll go bonkers over time and can be destructive. if you are lazy and not home all day, there is a beagle for offer on here at the moment.

Just going to capitalize on the chance to mention a cat that I know of that needs a home as well. White with a little brown marking, still a kitten, good spirit (likes to come over for head/fist bumps), doesn't mind being handled, etc.

I'm worried that it might end up living the garden cat life, and we've already hit our own cat - human ratio for this household.
