This guy does great work for us. 50 x 100 poster board is 60-100 Rmb depending on the board. He only speaks Chinese tell him 戴高乐 sent you. I usually just order by QQ. His shop is by the tuo dong stadium. Guys name is mr Chang 常
Thanks,
I have to go there and see my self the prints. Im thinking of exibition of my photos, so want to be sure the quality is good.
In Beijing I had a few 60X100cm prints done but it took a few trys to get good quality. Tried in KM with poor results.
Make sure you set the attributes to 'read only.' If you are like me, you set the pic contrast, etc the way you want it but they always have a better idea.
One more thing, avoid saving jpg's too many times as there is quality loss when you print the big ones. Use RAW images if you can and only save once to jpg.
Geezer: Im shooting in raw, but postprocessing doesnt allow me to save it in raw again ( I mean with changes Ive done ), just jpg. I use Adobe Lightroom. If you can recomend any soft which can after changing contrast, crop etc. still can save that image in raw, I would be happy. I didnt know that its possible. Thanks
@Geezer, I know what you mean when you say, 'they always have a better idea'. I have had pics Photoshopped without my consent, to the point where some people in the picture are beyond recognition (airbrushed without asking), and even arguing with me about how the picture should look.
Alexez: You are right, modified RAW images can't be saved in RAW format. I use the RAW image for developing and editing and save it to jpg one time never reducing the size. Sometimes I may end up with five or six jpg's before I get what I want. Given there isn't much cost other than my time, this works for me.
I took at least 10K photos each year. I found the best way to keep them in order is to date the folders like today is 150212 (YYMMDD). Then add a few key words: "120803 Golden Temple"
tiger you got it :-) I just pay for the prints and go find another shop. When I find one with a good printer and people who will listen, I use them until they start "helping" me.
With you do big prints you learn how good your lens is. After a jpg has been saved 3 or 4 times, save your money. The big print will not be sharp.
Thats cool! Im beginner compare to you:-) I think I have 25k all together since I swithed to digital 10y ago.
What software do u use for exporting those JPGs? Because in Lightroom or PS any time I export RAW to JPG, it always reduce size at least to a half. It does the compression at least in 1:2 ratio. I was looking at the solution, how to make that non compressed JPG to avoid loosing valuable pixels but in couple forums told me its not possible, so I gave up searching.
