Happy New Year everyone
As a incentive my work has decided to give a few people a bonus of a 6 night trip to Singapore or the option of a 3 grand cash bonus.
My question is Singapore worth a short trip visit as perhaps 6 nights is quite short so if anyone has been to Singapore it would be great to get some insight into the best places to see or worth visiting, thank you.
Take the 3 grand and a bus to Laos.
I spent four nights in Singapore last winter. I enjoyed local food a lot, especially Indian cusine in Little India district. But Singapore is just a metropolis and unless you have specific attractions planned out, six nights might be a bit too long. I think making a short trip to Malaysia could be nice and it's only 20 minutes on the bus from Singapore :)
What is the shopping like?
Singapore is expensive - meals, hotels etc. I didn't buy much there, but there are many shopping centres, all famous brands outlets and all kinds of little shops in the "old town ". I'd say it's better than Kunming, but just like any big European city. Customs are strict, so you cannot take too much new stuff with you without paying tax.

At first I couldn't post and now it's double - sorry
it'll make a nice change to Kunming, but don't spit or litter or you'll end up in prison/debt/dead www.roughguides.com/destinations/asia/singapore/
Singapore is a "fine" city, laws and orders.
i stay in singapore, it is just a modern city. That's all.
