Lots of folks like the Wickerbaskets. The traditional Chinese medicine hospitals have Chinese herbs for sale as does the corner shop in the old Bird and Flower street area. Salvadors has organic and safe foods both prepared and for sale. Hao Bao used to deliver organic veggies. Pauls in the same area has foreign foods. Golden Eagle B has a supermarket on the lower underground floor.

The lion and tiger show at the Wildlife Park is seriously heartbreaking. It's clear that they've suffered from abuse.

Uneducated masses of the poor know better than many of the rest of us that many who are not poor don't particularly care about them, so they may not see the point of caring about animals in zoos. A mistake perhaps, but an understandable one. As for the rest of us, self-congratulate that it's the poor farmers who enslave & kill the animals we eat.

Thanks all. Looks like I'llbe able to scrape together the bare neccesities from a fewof these places. And I'm going to have to check out the zoo just to see if it's really so bad compared to the other dismal zoos I've been to in China.
