I went to Walmart to buy some ziplock bags and I was told that they will no longer be sold. They still have cling free wrap and aluminum foil but the ziplock bags will be dicontinued. There are still a few in stock but they will no longer replenish their stocks.

ok, so you have the last remaining supply of zip-locks available in Kunming (or all of western china for that matter) and you'r charging 1000% interest for anyone who desperately needs ziplocks to secure their peanut butter sandwiches?

Walmart has been discontinuing a lot of the products I would buy there. It makes the longer run down to Metro more necessary.
For their part, Metro seem to always know which products I want on any given day and close that aisle just as I arrive.

Buy them from Taobao. Cheap as shutiao.

Haven't been to carrefour in a while, but I prefer them over Walmart any day of the week.

Carrefour carried the last batch of small and large ziplock bags I stocked up on.
