China and Thailand's Snow Lotus Company announced plans for a 2.8 billion yuan logistics distribution center to distribute Thai products to Chinese consumers, the fourth such center to be built in China.

The Yunfang Distribution Center will be located in Kunming and will be managed by a joint venture between the Yunnan government and Snow Lotus. The distribution center is expected to benefit from the opening this year of a highway between Bangkok and Kunming.

The 23-story center will feature retail and wholesale business focused on Thai goods such as fresh produce, food products, consumer goods, jewelry and Thai handicrafts. High-end goods will be promoted in order to differentiate Thai products in the Chinese marketplace.
