The Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project plays a free show at The Hump Bar on Friday. The bar is pledging a free Bud Lite for anyone with a Sarah Palin tattoo. Why not Bud Lite Lime? The show starts at 9pm.

Friday: The Great Apes Trio at 1895 Bar
Three of the four members of Kunming's own Great Apes rock band will play original songs plus some of their favorite covers at 1895 Movie Bar on Friday. Cans of Franziskaner beer will be 20 yuan at the free 10pm show.

Saturday: Flea market and folk music at Yuansheng Fang.
There will be a flea market from 10am to 5pm Saturday at Yuansheng Fang, formerly known as Yuansheng Indigenous Music and Dance Studio. All manner of secondhand goods, crafts and homemade food will be on sale. Anyone wishing to sell at the flea market can reserve a booth for 30 yuan by calling 13888330329. Later, at 9pm, folk musician Da Ben (大奔) will perform a 30-yuan show.

Saturday: Joint concert at Nashville Bar
Yunnan-based band Dachong (大冲) and Scottish band Scotch on the Rocks will give a joint concert at Nashville Sound Bar on Saturday night. The 30-yuan show starts at 8:30pm.

Saturday: The Sea Loving Mammals at The Hump Bar
The Sea Loving Mammals will play "visceral rock 'n' roll" at The Hump Bar on Saturday night. The free show starts at 9pm.

Saturday: Purim party at Camel Bar
Camel Bar celebrates the Jewish festival of Purim with a costume party on Saturday night. There will be music from DJ Shuangma (双马), plus 10-yuan screwdrivers and Tsingtaos for anybody wearing costumes and a costume contest with a prize for the winner. The free party starts at 9:30pm.

Saturday: Local music showcase at Laowo Bar
