Friday: Hip hop at Laowo Bar
Laowo Bar hosts a hip hop show and freestyle battle tonight. Participants will include Daguocai (大锅菜), winners of multiple freestyle battles in Yunnan, as well as hip hop acts Yaco Music Union (雅歌音乐联盟), No Name and Lordmo R. The 20 yuan event starts at 9pm.

Friday: Swedish student performance at TCG Nordica
Swedish high school students studying at TCG Nordica will present their music, dance and art tonight. Entry is free to the 8pm show.

Saturday: Open house at Keats School
Keats School will hold an open house with refreshments from 2 to 4pm on Saturday. Prospective students of Mandarin will be able to meet the faculty and have their questions answered at the event, which will recur every Saturday from 2 to 4pm.

Saturday: Veal schnitzel night at Sandra's

Saturday: The Rednecks return at Laowo Bar
The Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project will hold a hotly-anticipated video release party on Saturday at Laowo Bar. There will be live music from The Rednecks, The Tribal Moons, The Great Apes, Scotch On The Rocks, plus 5 yuan beer and a fire show from the Fantastic Masked Smoke Alarms, as well as DJ Ferraris From Hell. The show costs 15 yuan and starts at 9pm.

Saturday: Music from Ensay at Laba
Kunming band Ensay (扣弦) will play at the "Scream of the New Year" party at Laba on Saturday. The 30 yuan show starts at 9:30pm.

Sunday: Brunch at The Box
The Box will have a discount of 10 percent on all breakfast sets, which include bottomless coffee, this Sunday. There will also be bloody marys for 30 yuan. The meal runs from 11 to 2pm.

Sunday: Brunch at Lazy Bones
The Sunday brunch at Lazy Bones Restaurant will include English & American breakfasts, pancakes, french toast, burgers and ribs, Italian specials, a make-your-own bloody mary bar and mimosa and beer specials. The meal runs from noon to 5pm.

Sunday: Roast at Slice of Heaven
