Hi there,
we've got one bedroom available in our 3 bdr furnished apartment right next to the Xinjianshe cinema on Wenlin Jie. So it's close to the green lake and most Universities.
We've got a basic kitchen, tv, 2 toilets ( both kinds, whatever works for you).
It's a large room, with a king size bed, a large desk and big windows.Financial stuff: The deposit is 1000 yuan, 800 yuan per month and your share of the agent fee. This doesn't include utilities (which shouldn't be much).
We've got the place for one semester (we've paid until the 18th of January), so you are not stuck with a contract longer than your stay in Kunming. If you are planning on staying for a spring semester, you can travel in the long break without paying for an empty place. You can also extend the contract if you want.
No smoking in the apartment please. Besides that, we are pretty easy going guys.

Two Rooms available in three room apartment
Two rooms are available in a three bedroom apartment. It is equipped with a chinese style toilet, a refrigerator, a washing machine, all appliances for the kitchen are available for your use. Each room is 700 per month. The bills, which include water and electricity, and a six month management fee of 120 rmb, come to about 100 per month per person. The deposit is only 500 rmb and will be given back at the end of the contract as long as there are no damages. It is outside of the city center by about ten or 15 minutes by bus. It only takes me about ten minutes by my e-bike to get to the city center or university area. It is a 10-15 minute bus ride to the university area, with many bus stops close to the apartment. The apartment is available immediately. I would like to rent out the rooms as soon as possible. I am going to sign a contract with the landlord for 4 months. I will be going home at Christmas. Nice Apt availale now!
The house is on Yuantong St(圆通街), which is right between the Yuantong temper and the Zoo. The area has a ton of restaurants, and is within walking distance of Green Lake, WenHua Xiang and WenLin Jie, XiaoXi Men, YuanTong Temple, the Zoo, and many of the universities. It's a great, centrally-located area.
The building is set back from the road and is fairly quiet. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (walk up), and is very spacious. There are three bedrooms (one master bedroom with a study room, and two smaller bedrooms—one with a pretty unique bed, you can see a good view of the Yuantong Mountain from the window), two bathrooms (with a tub/shower and a sitting toilet), a living room with a sun area, a dining area, and a kitchen. The apartment is furnished, including comfortable couches (which fold into extra beds),big TV, good quality speakers/DVD player, tables, desks, a refrigerator and toster, a nice washing machine, and lots of kitchen utensils. There are really pretty traditional paintings on the wall. It is very comfortable and really feels like home.
The back windows let in a lot of sunlight and have a nice view of trees and flowers on YuanTong Hill. The area behind the apartment leads up towards the zoo and the 1st floor has a wholesale foreign imported goods store, many stuff there are so much cheaper than Paul's house.
The rent is Y2000/month, which I think is not bad at all for such a great location and spacious apartment. We are looking for someone long-term, upwards of at least six months to a year. The landlord is very nice and have been mostly hands-off.
