OK you need to be realistic. Unless your wife also has a work visa she cannot work legally, and illegal work is usually in food or hospitality at local below minimum wage levels. She could be a tutor from home, but again very low pay for that. Minimum wage in Kunming is about one pound 50 per hour.
IF you are a qualified teacher (BEd or PGCE) then working in an international school may get you free places.
If you have a post teaching English in a university, you will get an apartment and you can afford to live, but your kids will need to go into a local school, and your 7 year old will find it difficult as all instruction will be in Chinese. f
If you are on some kind of mission, then your church must agree to pay for your kids education. Otherwise your kids will be paying long term for your sacrifice.
A common strategy among conservation organisations is to pick a species with a well know or friendly face and then protect their habitat.
The aim of the strategy is habitat protection, because if you protect a diminishing habitat (type) you protect hundreds if not thousands of other species, not all of them animals not all of them endangered, that are part of that habitat type and/or ecosystem.
How it happens. If someone posts in an old thread it brings it to the top. If the post is then deleted (usually because it is spam) the thread stays in place, less the new post.
I am guessing there was spam for some file sharing platform.
I saw a poster for Ocean World (海洋世界) Dounan today. No Website, but the phone number is (0871) 6746 9988. I did find this Ctrip link you.ctrip.com/sight/kunming29/2484363.html
There are also some new facilities for small children in Haigeng Park. These being of the large inflateable slide kind, and fairground rides for all ages (looks like some new rides). The park is free to enter. The park is located at the end of Dianchi Road. Several buses go directly to the end of Dianchi road, including the 44 and the 73. After you get off the bus, go into the park, turn right, and the amusements are at the other end of the park, towards the cable cars.
Off topic, but related to theme songs. When we watched terrestrial TV we listened to the whole theme, even if only in the background while we quickly made a cup of tea or finished off some other chore. With streaming, or watching box sets, we quickly FF over the theme song and titles. We are missing a lot of great music.
Everything else said by the last two posters can be captured within the idea that we no longer live in a society, we live in a market.
A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.
Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.
In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.
They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.
They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.
