My wifi is weak at the top of the building. Is there a relay/sender thingy that can boost the signal to get the signal to go further?
If so, where can I get one, and does anyone know what it is called in Chinese?

I know someone who got Netflix to work. I am not sure if they subscribed overseas and now just log in.
Perhaps if you can find the names of what you want, online, you can write it down/print it off for her.
Perhapas some helpful person on here can provide the names of the different tofu.
Yep, as geezer said, you need to get it converted. It does not just convert itself. Unlike other countries in Asia, the visa system here is pretty black and white.
If you put your passport in to the PSB for a new visa, you can ask the PSB for a receipt and a stamped (by them) copy of your passport. This should allow you to travel within China. I have actually flown on one of these, to Beijing.
It is normal at the end of a work contract for you visa to be converted into a 30 day 'L' visa to allow for some travel. This could be the same for a study visa.
However, you may have to return to your home country to apply for a new study visa.
I would make every effort to renew my visa before the holidays. The official holidays start on February 9th 2013. Find out when the visa office closes THIS YEAR (the post above was last year), it only takes 5 working days.
You may well be able to get the paperwork done before you break for the holidays. Ask your uni foriegn affairs office for advice. I am sure if you pay for next semester they will be more than happy to oblige.

Great to know it is no longer dry.
Good review BTW
This has moved.
The cut flowers are about 700m east on Duonan Jie. The plants and trees are about 700 m west and follow Duocai Section.
A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.
Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.
In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.
They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.
They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.

发布者Edit - correction.. Whoring can be to act as a whore, or to consort with whores.

发布者I kind of read whoring as the customer having sex with whores, no matter how they are procured. This is a different crime to prostitution.
Soliciting is the prostitute offering sex to a customer, in exchange for money.
Snapshot: Preserving Yunnan woodworking traditions in Jianchuan
发布者I would be interested in learning more about these centers of artisan skills around Yunnan. For example Jianshui is a centre for a specific kind of pottery, and Dali is a center for marble work.
