Chinese has lots of words. As a learner we only learn the most common.
In most languages 300 words is enough to communicate most of what we want to say.
A survey of words was done on the NYT in the 1930s. One edition contained less than 650 individual words.
Tip
Once they set it up and get it working, ask them to close it down and open it up again. I have had it not work on the first go on more than one occassion. Get them to fix it while they are there is easier than the next time you boot up.
I cannot understand how the OP finds it difficult to find a job in Kunming. If you fit the following description it is usually enough. White and breathing.
If you do not fit the above description, then you will not find it any easier by being her. Unless the employer is not willing to pay flights etc. i.e. a bad employer.
Be careful.
The "we can change it for you on arrival" is a common ruse used by some bad employers. You can end up working illegally while they sort it out, which the often never do.
The only way it could work is if the paperwork is done here to allow you to do a border run to HK

Great to know it is no longer dry.
Good review BTW
This has moved.
The cut flowers are about 700m east on Duonan Jie. The plants and trees are about 700 m west and follow Duocai Section.
A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.
Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.
In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.
They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.
They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.
Lijiang vendors strike, protesting old town entry fee
发布者Back on topic. The local business can make their feelings known this way. But in the long run, the government knows that these business owners are ultimately hurting themselves more. It is a catch 22 situation.

发布者Property taxes would be easy to enforce, as there is a registered owner(s), and may help get rid of a lot of zombie properties. We know a guy who owns over 30 properties, well at least his company does. All of these properties are empty. Companies have these 'assets' on the books often at optimistic values. A company owns a house where we are. They want about 30% over market value for it, only then will they sell.
People may think, 'Zombie property, so what?'. If an area has low occupancy, no small businesses can flourish, and the local economy can be in a downward spiral.
If people/companies have to pay tax on empty property it becomes a liability as well as an asset. It is also possible to charge a higher levy on empty property, if a government chooses to do so. They are talking about doing this in London.
