Forums > Living in Kunming > Child Support Advice She and her family already know the implications.
1/ She is not legally entitled to have a baby, as she is unmarried.
2/ With a baby in tow, she will not find a husband, especially in a small city like Boashan.
Assuming she is actually pregnant and it is yours.
Forums > Food & Drink > Metro bakery re-opened the big loaf is the toast loaf. I guess they may be dry if you go at the wrong time.
I usually buy 3 - 4 loaves and freeze them. You can make toast from the freezer.
Sometimes the french bread is hard. I think the shelf life is really only a few hours. I buy the french bread rolls, and they also freeze. I thaw them by taking one out of the bag and putting it in a smaller plastic bag to thaw. In the winter I do this on the heater.
If the bread is wrapped it does not dry out much when you freeze it.
Forums > Living in Kunming > Child Support Advice Many Chinese fathers pay no income support, but do pay half of education fees. Usually in exchange for access.
She won't have the baby, it is illegal. If she turns up on the doorstep with a baby it may not even be hers, let alone yours.
Forums > Living in Kunming > Child Support Advice Then cut off communication, after you have told her to call the police.
Do not suggest to her a lawyer, they are often crooks.
If she comes after you with a lawyer, contact either the police or ask contact your companies legal department. I assume your company has a rep office in Biejing or Shanghai. A Shanghai lawyer will run rings around the local clowns, I suggest you do not engage a local lawyer.
There is another website asiaexpat.com, and they have a legal page and a shanghai page. I suggest you also ask on there. I don't usually plug other websites, but you need some protection from the sharks. Any advice from that website will be free of any local 'taint' and other expats may be able to recommend trust worthy lawyers.
I would also be inclined to contact you companies legal department. They may just take you home. It really is not worth getting ensnared.
Also, admit to nothing. The onus of proof is on her.
If she turns up in Kunming with her family, meet in a public place and call the police if things get nasty. The police won't deport you, and they are used to dealing with local nasty crap. In fact, because she is not a local Kunminger, the police will probably side with you.
Be aware, people can get nasty when they smell money.
Forums > Living in Kunming > Kunming sucks the life out of me... If you want good international food, and civilisation go to Hong Kong. But you cannot afford to live on a teachers salary.
If you want acceptable international food, and affordable (just) housing go to Shanghai, and the women there are not as aloof as HK. You will earn twice as much money teaching but you will work much harder. The girls are easier to bed, but they will take it out of you in other ways.
If you want cheap, and not poor service from bad western cafes, go to the hinterland. Very cheap food, ents, and accommodation. Environment can be ok. Getting around a town of 50 000 people is easy, walk. No other expats to annoy you, and no cafes to complain about.
Kunming to put 45,000 public use bikes on roads
发布者I have seen lots of these bikes around. I have yet to use any.
From what I can see, you scan the QR code on the bike, which unlocks it. I assume you scan again to re-lock it. I assume billing is by Wechat.
It looks like you don't need to find a bike park, and I assume that the location of the bike is known from the location data from the phone that scans the QR code.

New governor sparks controversy with verbal gaffe
发布者[M]any repeatedly asked the question, "Is there no local official to hold this important office?"
Well most of them are taking a prolonged break, at a government run institute.
Film Review: Shanren mini-doc Qike Ami
发布者Excellent short film. It is nice to see something non-han being featured as central subject, and not merely as a subdivision of Chinese culture.
