Forums > Living in Kunming > China's Stock market It is unfortunate for those who over committed themselves in recent months. Shit happens.
The larger picture. If you invested your money this time last year, and have just taken the 30% plus hit, you still doubled your money.
The stocks had risen 150% in a year. 30% is just a correction, which is common in new markets, there are a lot of examples of this. With stock price to earnings ratio of 20, that is still not a good investment. There is room for prices to fall.
However, this is a culture where 'there is always someone to blame'. People have borrowed money to invest, which is basically borrowing to gamble. This somewhat stupid greed, but hey! Do I admit I was stupid or blame some outside forces of greed.
Forums > Living in Kunming > Colour printing Try going on Google maps and when you are on Kunming, type Kodak in the search bar.
Forums > Living in Kunming > Colour printing I can only be vague. I was told there was an office print shop if you come out of Nanya turn right onto Dianchi on the RHS. Not far up.
I also remember seeing a Kodak printers if you come out of Nanya then cross Dianchi then turn left down Dianchi and it was on the RHS. Sorry I can't remember how far down.
There is also a Kodak photography shop in the mall by Carrefour store entrance. About 4-5 booths from the greeters.
I am not sure if they do larger sizes.
Forums > Living in Kunming > Families in Kunming, Dali or Lijiang areas? The other slightly odd thing is that the two coldest months of the year seem to be followed by the two hottest. And it does get hot.

Developing a sustainable birdwatching industry in western Yunnan
发布者It is not so much the extra pressure on the environment that global tourism will cause, it is the effects that would occur if birdwatching becomes a more national phenomenon. I have seen the disruption caused by twitchers in the UK. If we multiply the potential for problems by the numbers factor (just look at any tourist site in Yunnan), this does require a lot of serious thought. The thought of a 'Birdline' China is a bit scary.

Weekend in Dali: A Chinese perspective
发布者The guest houses lakeside may well have been permanently hit, but how long ago was that? 1 or 2 years now? A year is a long time in Chinese business development.
The guesthouse trade will migrate a few hundred meters, creating new opportunities, if it has not already done so. I think the recovery has already taken a strong hold. Judging by the level of business I saw last week, and speaking to one local business owner.
