Forums > Living in Kunming > Anyone interested in volunteering on the weekends?

Perhaps some more information is needed.

e.g. Would anyone like to volunteer to give up a kidney?

Would anyone like to volunteer to clean my bathroom?

Would anyone like to give up their weekends to play Call of Duty on a PC with surround sound? Beer for the winner.

If you are used to being frugal and eat at home. Mostly fruit, vegetables, rice, little meat and fish. 10RMB per day will easily cover it.

If you use minimal household chemicals, detergents, shampoos, etc. Another 2-3 rmb per day will easily cover this.

Once you start adding condiments, coffee, milk, and luxuries, bread, beer, chocolate, etc. it starts to ramp up.

Beer in the supermarket starts at about 3rmb for a 600ml bottle. Meals out start at about 5 rmb per head, if you only eat veg and rice.

She said nothing untoward about Kunming people. I would also guess that most of her attackers have never been to Kunming. Kunming air on many days of the year is on a par with Shanghai (I check this almost daily and have done for several years), and blue-green algae pollution of Dianchi lake has been a source of much local concern for many years.

This has moved.
The cut flowers are about 700m east on Duonan Jie. The plants and trees are about 700 m west and follow Duocai Section.

A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.

Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.

In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.

They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.

They have a wider range of electrical appliances now, there is a coice of more than one toast. There is also a better range of seasonal non foods, like clothes, shoes, garden furniture and camping gear.
