What's wrong with 3 new critical reviews after a long hiatus? Also, this thread your posting in Heller is kinda as self explanatory as it gets.
I much rather read a critical review than another boring five star (mine included). At least it's downright personal and honest. If you don't agree, well no big deal, read and move on.
Also, if you have had the burritos and wraps at Sal's, you would know they fall apart just as described.
Hot water can be another issue. Some Kunming flats rely solely on solar heating for hot water. As much as I think solar heating is a wonderful thing (nothing beats having free hot water from the sun everyday), during winter, solar heating is not going to cut it.
Make sure your flat has an electric or gas water heater also, or the bath space to install one.
A kiwi named Phil used to make the best and only decent home made sausages for sale in bulk. Supposedly he sold that business to some foreigner here. I'd be interested in buying those home made sausages again. I've got this jar of french dijon that should get used.

I made one comment about leaky pipes. It's pretty hard to argue against fixing leaky pipes. If you fix enough leaky pipes to compensate for meat consumption, I'll regard your comments in higher esteem.

Sleeping at the airport maybe prohibited for security reasons. The light rail starts too late for an 8am flight. There are no hotels inside or any where nearby the airport. This leaves you with a choice of taxi, shuttle bus, or car service.
Great timely report. No hotels up and running by airport, but that's Kunming for you. On the plus side, the metro is working. Looking forward to using the international terminal, as the old airport international terminal was tiny and useless service wise.
Never gotten sick once at Sals. Their food is TexMex, so yeah, not authentic Mexican food, but pretty authentic as TexMex goes. Burrito wrap has improved a lot. Like the draft beer option now.
If you haven't had dairy products in a while, and do eat here, best forgo the sour cream. Nothing wrong with it, in fact it's the best sour cream in Kunming, but if you've eaten Chinese for month or months with no dairy intake, your system will react to sour cream or probably any liquid dairy product not so well. Maybe that's what happened with nailer and tallamerican.
It's now 5 working days for regular processing. So I submitted my application a bit before 5pm on a Friday and was told to pick it up next week Friday after 5pm.
Cost is now 400rmb for a single 30 day entry. Or that was what I was charged anyways. There are no posted prices and its cash only with no receipt except for your passport pickup. That's like $65 USD.
You can pay another 150rmb for 2 day or 100rmb for 3 day processing. For 400rmb, they should process it in three days like they used to before, but now you'd pay 500rmb. The office is still like deserted most of the time, so why does it take longer now and cost extra. If you opted for 2 day, thats like $90 usd. All other neighboring countries charge like $25usd.
The rest of and cope review is still good for hours and location.

发布者Wow. There were plans to ruin Tiger Leaping Gorge. That would be like building a golf course on Shilin. Oh wait, that happened.
