And I reckon another week after that someone might think about cleaning it up.

Can'y help much with the travel there... I did the journey slowly and expensively.
Hotel Especen is pretty decent, and just down an ally from some nice cafes and the cathedral. I used to love listening to the bells while having a coffee in the morning. Gorgeous sound.
It was about 100 kuai for a room when I stayed there. If you e-mail them:
especen@gmail.com
you can ask for the rates. Try to get a few dollars knocked off the price.
If you go overland I think you need to get a visa at the embassy in Kunming. Have a search around the forums, I'm sure Dan did an article about bussing it down there for a weekend.
any idea of the opening times??
Thanks, I'll check it out today!
Can anyone point me to a real sports shop in Kunming? I would like to get back into running so I'll be looking for a place to buy some shorts and shoes. I'm quite picky though and want proper stuff, ie. a pair of short runners in a light airy fabric and with some kind of integral bit to hold my bits.
I've recently looked in so many "Sports" shops that I have lost count but they only sell useless fashion gear and footbal/basketball stuff. Surely with the popularity of athletics in China there must be some dedicated shops around town.
No results found.
I've been eating here regularly for a year now and my opinion of it keeps getting better. The staff and owners are lovely welcoming people, and the food is excellent.
It's the only Chinese restaurant in Kunming where I can be confident that I'm not ingesting large amounts of agricultural poison along with my food.
Go there. Often.
I'm afraid that I'm the problem. I'm not the boss, but I bake the bread.
I'm quite inconsistent and unreliable.
The thing is, I don't do the same things everyday and get the bread out at the same time everyday. I understand the danger in this, but I can't stop trying new things. Often, those experiments fail, or go slower than I hoped. But I am learning from them.
I'm trying to organise something so that hopefully, soon, things will settle into a routine.
Please bear with me.
Proper cool.
Hard to think of a reason not to give Dune a five star review. The owners are very friendly and provide excellent service, as do the staff.
The noodles are decent, and give one a good impression of the kitchen; I won't be afraid to sample other dishes on the menu.
The main event though is the beer selection, which is one of the best in town.
A great spot to sit in the afternoon sun sipping a good beer.
I am a great lover of Indian food, so it is with a heavy heart that I see people here rate this place. In short, the food is very bad. To sell it as "authentic Indian cuisine" is poor.
Last time I went I wrote a note offering to teach the chefs some recipes that I know are very good. I saw the staff throw my note in a bin. Not cool.

发布者I had some Bamboo rat on a trip down to Banna over the holiday. It made a delicious broth, though I reckon they'd caught a racing rat because there wasn't much meat to speak of.
