I'm in the Dali / lijiang area with extensive knowledge of back roads and trails.
I'm with a few friends from Oct 13 to 17, we all paraglide and explore.

If plans match i could drive you guys up to a few areas in my jeep (4000msl) and point the way to the summits at Baima pass near Kawakarpo.

We also camp a lot....

Can you still get a 30 day visa extension in Dali?

Aircrafts are restricted in the same areas mentioned.
drones are placed in the same laws as all other aircrafts.
"There are numerous places aircrafts( including drones) are not allowed for public safety reasons. State/Federal Parks, urban centers, rescue operations, forest fires, military zones, plus many state.city restrictions."

The reason restriction for drones seems strict in the western world is because of many idiot / assholes which constantly fly within aircraft final approach glide path.
