If any cycling group wants to get a ride out to the trails by jeep and then back to the city center after your ride.

We can also rendezvous at another location lower on the mountain trails..
I also have 5 watt radios for good comunication besides mobile phones.

I know lots of areas that would amaze you..some roads some single track, but all away from the trucks and noise of the city..

If you are concerned for safety " mian bao che" bread vans are not safe and would not come close to passing international safety tests.
Although they are still safer than being on the road with e bikes.

That said..

New bread vans are from 30 000rmb

Should be able to get one of those for 8000 to 12000, if you just stay in town and no major highway driving you might be able to get one as cheap as 5000,although it wont be clean!!

I helped 2 guys get one for a trip to lijiang and back and resell it. They bought it for 11 000 .

Havent looked at the big vans so the price is unknown, should be able to get something cheap although they are sought after for delivery companies ect..you cant drive a pick up inside the 2nd ring road during the day but a van is ok...

Also nice little cars/mini SUV for 40 000, year 2004..

Got to look out for theives at those markets, liars and cheaters.

I've seen a SUV with the oil on the dip stick metalic sparkle..."mei wen ti"..he said..."hen how che".. yeah right!!

I dont think they will pump up mountain ranges, they tunnel and bridge..

The elevation at the point of extraction is the same as kunming's elevation therefore gravity would be at work ....

Big project no doubt but a lot more efficient than cloud seeding..

Hopefully water quality will remain good for centuries for a few reasons;
Fu xian lake is very deep, 80 to 125 meters.
Fu xian is fed by underground rivers which doesn't have surface pollutants.

The greatest risks to water quality is pesticides/fertilizers which are used in abundance surrounding the lake.

The Jinsha River (金沙江) at Benzilan is at an elevation of 1900 meters above sea level, Kunming is at 1900 meters above sea level but it's 1000 km away.

This diversion will take an enormous amount of energy to divert water to Dianchi; let alone the energy to build this monster of a project.

The water going to hundreds of reservoirs makes sense but Dianchi??

Flengs has it right, you cant "control" nature.

Is it by % of said item /fee ?

I'd like to know where I stand if I go to customs or paying a parking ticket

Went the other night, it was very late therefore I cant coment on the food but it did smell very good..
Cozy atmosphere and very friendly host.
Will return again now that it's found!


