"westerners dont suffer from face culture, can be self effacing and take and give criticism in equal measure. we are taught to critique (look it up in a dictionary) things and by finding problems we can then try to fix them, or being aware of problems can work around them if they cant be fixed. we dont like to hide problems as it only causes problems later. and in disputes we accept that there will be fault on both sides, we know that win-lose is a null sum game (game theory). people yield to one another out of courtesy, and not just deference to power. the strong can give way to the weak as we accept that no one is right much more than half the time, and no one is absolutley right, ever, except in math."

Flicking lit butts out the windows of moving vehicles is a huge factor in creating forest fires in yunnan. This is a pratice which should be strictly forbidden and enforced with huge fines as the results are often expensive in rmb in addition to a substantial loss of natural resources .

A simple foam insulation covering a hot water pipe embedded in concrete can save a lot of energy in addition of a circulating system to reuse the otherwise wasted water waiting for the hot water to arrive..

Went the other night, it was very late therefore I cant coment on the food but it did smell very good..
Cozy atmosphere and very friendly host.
