I know it must be terrible staying at a 5 star hotel, but maybe you can order room service or take a short walk to the many food places just outside the hotel. Blue Bird is very nice - directly across from the hotel. You only have to walk 10 meters from the hotel door.

I will get a certificate the next time I go renew my visa. I have been here for 12 years so I must provide 2 passports and a whole lot of copies of all my visas to get this certificate.

The new Visa office is located at 118 Tuo Dong Road. There is no number on the building yet so do not bother to look for it. There are 2 passport photo shops on either side of the building. The office is located directly in front of the Kunming Museum. The bus stop is named - Shi Bo Wu Guan - Bus 1, 62, 109, 117, 145, 213, A1 and K3 stop directly in front of the office. Foreigners need to go to the 3rd floor. The Tuo Dong Stadium is located to the right of the office while Baita Road is located to the left of the office.

发布者I have the name, phone and address of a Lisu crossbow maker in Liuku. The crossbows pictured above are all short, the man I met makes the long crossbows. If interested, let me know and I will pass on the info needed to contact him. He sells bows, arrows, quivers and has a collection of exotic animals he hunted and killed in Burma.
