A change in the Gao Kao system has been announced but not put into effect yet. Students will no longer have to choose between Arts Major or Science Major and all students will take the same Gao Kao in the future.

Over the years I have been able to compile a lot of statistics from the Education Bureau as well as other official organizations about Gao Kao.

Examples include how many births each year, how many students take the Gao Kao each year, how many pass the Gao Kao, how many graduate from Middle school and high school.

Also, a complete copy of the Gao Kao regulations.

Greed - He wins 9 million but the article is about what he Could Have won. Greed never ends. I am sure the farmer will buy all he can but his children will not go to better schools. He will just build a bigger house in his village to show off. Look in a lottery store and you will see the people spend hours in there staring at the previous numbers trying to figure out the magic formula for the next winning numbers. Most people spend moe money then they wil ever win. Sick!

The new Visa office is located at 118 Tuo Dong Road. There is no number on the building yet so do not bother to look for it. There are 2 passport photo shops on either side of the building. The office is located directly in front of the Kunming Museum. The bus stop is named - Shi Bo Wu Guan - Bus 1, 62, 109, 117, 145, 213, A1 and K3 stop directly in front of the office. Foreigners need to go to the 3rd floor. The Tuo Dong Stadium is located to the right of the office while Baita Road is located to the left of the office.
