@Liumingke True. Maybe they should add 'whites only'.
Maybe they should stop the BS (Bluberry Sundaes) and STFU (Sit Together with the Forgetful Uncle). At least most other schools with religious ideals leave it for the application form or don't mention it until interview.
I've just seen a job advertised on here. Amongst the requirements are a 'Strong belief in JC' and 'A real native English speaker'. I can understand that they wouldn't want a fake teacher but ADVERTISING a religious background as a requirement? Are they stupid enough to think that the authorities can't guess who they are refering to as JC? Is this ad even legal?
There doesn't appear to be an official way of recycling. Like JanJal says, many things can just be left
by the side of the bin. the collectors decide if it has any value. Everything else is incinerated (including many things that could probably be recycled).
Without a big shift in attitudes here, an army of litter collectors couldn't keep up with the holiday tourists who simply don't care and often believe that littering is OK because 'it gives people jobs'. The nets might not be a perfect solution but they are relatively cheap and effective. It's certainly a better idea than simply dumping it into the seas and rivers.
@Yereth - KAT place the original post on the top of every page of the forum post and the latest posts below (even if there have been a number of pages and/or a long time between them). anyway... just an idea. i'll send you a screenshot via the contact form as i can't see how i can add it here.
a few issues:
the search function is harder to find but the tags are more user friendly. i look forward to the new search priority function (sort by date/relevance).
search terms need to be re-entered if you change the section to be searched (via the All/News/Features/Travel tabs).
could you add a function where the small images in the article can be expanded maybe by clicking on them (like Facebook)? is the gallery still here? i haven't checked.
i like the way that the forums on Kickass Torrents puts the OP's post first and the newest posts appear below it. strikes the balance i think.
just to note that the bus between Hekou and Kunming is now much faster due to the fact that buses can now travel the entire length of the highway. sleeper buses arrive in around 7 hours when you can choose to sleep on the bus until morning or opt for one of the 'fixed price' taxis that lie in wait at either end of the trip. don't know about the daytime buses. also, I was told by the border police/army that all foreigners crossing from Laocai to Hekou must now undergo extra security checks. my bags were checked at the bus station in Hekou and at the highway entrance I was taken off the bus and questioned with my hand luggage searched again.
a lovely place to stay with great views of Yulong xueshan (JadeDragon snow mountain) from the roof! Beautifully decorated and hosts that make you feel like family. A million miles better than most other places locally. I can't recommend this place enough.
i thought i'd give this place another try as my usual place was closed today. even though there is now more choice, i was not impressed by the menu. they do have an apparently good range of coffees for up to 80 kuai but even a basic latte is Y26 now. the drinks were OK but nothing special and certainly not worth the money. the place looked somehow cleaner too and was certainly busier! why have so many of the cafes in this area decided that it's fine to raise their prices by so much (in some cases almost double)? i doubt i'll be going back. the 2 stars are because it was just OK and they've obviously made some effort.
not a bad selection of stuff and some of the staff obviously know their way around a bike. however, the 'special' prices for foreigners and the fact that some of the staff will use a big hammer to fix anything keeps me from going back. you could do better.
I won't go there again. The yoghurt is tasty and the curries are usually ok (they seem to vary in quality depending on the day and time). What really annoys me is the fact that they can't comprehend that I order dishes to eat TOGETHER... if my curry arrives 30 minutes after all the other dishes it's not really acceptable. Then again, neither is the 1 hour wait for the rest of the food or the incorrect dishes being sent. By the way, why can't I sit on the 3rd floor until both of the other floors are packed full? Has it never occurred to them that I might want a quiet meal and, after all, I am paying for it!

Winners: Best of Kunming Awards 2014
发布者One thing I did notice is an apparent correlation between the 'winners' and those who pay to advertise on here. coincidence?
Oh, and I love the Aussie place. It deserved to get something.
