While Michael is right that most small companies in China do not have their own domain names, thus uses free public email services, this is not true of large companies and quasi-state owned enterprises. A quick research of allow you to discover that Yunnan Yunnei Power Group does indeed have their own domain at www.yunneidongli.com/service/lian-xi-wo-men.htm .

In addition, the contact us page lists a email with said domain, it is therefore unlikely that an official within that company will be using a personal email account posing as an official looking email account to conduct official business.

If an official were to use a private email for official business which is common practice even if they do have an official account, to Michael's credit for being right on this, they would use seemingly random jumble of letters and numbers which is usually an acronym of their Chinese name or some other title. Examples of this can be found in our very own classifieds such as: zyhjasmine@, 1638484655@, shenzhouyn@, and lyxzh0323@.

As usual, Micheal's advice and insights are half-cocked, out-dated, or otherwise bad advice that contains enough semblance of truth to make it down right dangerous, much like the folksy, old-wives tale on how to cure a serious disease using "all natural, secret" formula that big pharma don't want you to know about.

I would take anything Michael says with a grain of salt....actually, I wouldn't take it at all.

PS:A quick number trace would tell you 1773913 is a prefix for numbers originating in Hunan, Anyang and not a Yunnan or Kunming number.

BTW, in addition to Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice, Trump Productions also produced a total of 2 other shows, Pageant Place (lasted 1 season) and The Ultimate Merger (lasted 2 seasons). In comparison, Mark Burnett Productions, which co-produced the Apprentice with Trump (and the brainchild of the series), went on to produce The Voice and Shark Tank, having produced Survivor prior to producing the Apprentice.

Any guess as to who had more of a hand in making Apprentice a success?

Sorry, I don't need the "media" to tell me Trump is an "incompetent bumbling imbecile", I can make that determination by reading his tweets, speeches, and interviews. And if you tell me that is all an act then he is worse than an imbecile, he is a manipulative evil man.

In addition, your argument isn't persuasive as you are cherry picking the facts augmenting with rumors and hearsay.

We don't know for a fact his empire is worth "multi-billion" dollars as he won't release his income taxes and as a private corporation, it is not required to release its financials, you know nothing about its debt-load. When you take out a loan to buy a home, you don't own a house, you own a mortgage.

Having a program run 10 years isn't really all that noteworthy either, as there have been many programs that have ran longer. By that metric we should elect Bob Barker as king.

Let's hope the Chinese, both its people and the government, does not make the same mistake as Japan did in WWII, into thinking that Americans are too soft and lack the resolve to pursue its enemies. If nothing else, history has shown that the US have its share of vindictive, hate-filled people who love nothing more than a fight based on perceived slights, Any attack on America will not be easily forgotten or forgiven.

If you are not interested in their work or project, even 20 seconds is too long. If you are truly into what they are doing, you would love to hear every little nuance that would give you better insight.

From what I can gather, this event is meant to create a platform for people to showcase their work but because the audience might not be interested, you'd have to distill ideas into 20 second sound bites. So that begs the question, if they aren't interested in your project why would you bother pitching it to them? And as an audience member, why would you go to one of these presentations if you are not interested in what they are presenting? Anything worth doing is worth doing well, unless this is one of those "social" events where people can go and pretend they are more "cultured" than the rest of us. Then in that case, lets just go through the motions as quickly as possible so we can get to the drinking and socializing bit at the end.

We are now devolving into a culture of instant gratification, short attention spans and sound bites. Nothing is worth giving more than 20 seconds worth of discussion before moving on to the next topic. Ideas are now commoditized and pass around like fast food because we are no longer capable of in depth thought. Much like fast food, immediately after consumption it feel as if you are full, but in reality, nothing of real value was given. This is true of TED talks, it started well but soon became a money making scheme where anybody willing to pay the fee can give a "talk". Most talks given, however, are nothing more than filler that can be googled, nothing ground breaking. It has more value to the presenter for it adds a line to their list of "accomplishments" than the audience.

I'm sure this event is well meaning and has perceived value to those who participated but I wouldn't recommend patting yourself on the back for attending.

Please excuse the ramblings from this grumpy old geezer.

I wonder how that someone got to Chinainthe first place, certainly wasn't by walking or bicycling. nor by ship. And unless there is a secret trans-Atlantic or trans-Pacific railroad, not by train either.

And what kind of renewable, non-environment harming energy he is using to fire up all those electronic gadgets he uses to go online.

Ya know, my pa had a sayin, don't shit where you eat and most certainly don't complain about The smoke if you want a BBQ rib.
