Care to clarify whether this refers to other cities in Yunnan province, or cities in other provinces?
In our residential block in the north (Panlong) we were going out to play in the courtyard after dinner, but everyone was ordered to go home.
And kindergartens and schools in practical every district suspended at least for 1 day (tomorrow Monday), and all parents required to get tested again next 3 days.
My problem was that WeChat Pay app was using my old passport number, and my CoVid-test etc were linked to my current passport number.
To fix that I did same as others (written above I recall): uninstall WeChat Pay sub-app from WeChat, and then reinstall and register with the new passport number.
After that I got the shield - although nobody ever complained about lack of it before.
I couldn't help recalling how the previous semester of kindergarten started by adjusting delivery and pick up times of the children to better suit regular daily routines of families (dinner times etc), and thus being better for overall development of the children and society as whole. I think I even mentioned about it on this forum.
Fast forward one week, and same kindergarten had observed that picking up children at this hour coincided with pickup times of neighboring primary school, causing traffic congestion. Citing scientific approach the pickup times were changed back to original.

发布者Speaking of potato, what's the favorite kind of street food potato you people have had in Kunming?
There is a strip along Beijing Lu about half-way between Baiyun Lu and North Railway Station, where there are several small eateries (and one big hot pot restaurant) on the west side of road.
One of those small shops sells potato slices which are apparently first cooked in oil, and then finished in another round of oil before being mixed with chili and some other spices.
You can probably find same kind of potato elsewhere in Kunming, at least there is sign outside which has contact number for franchising.
Very delicious, this has become my favorite potato dish in Kunming.

发布者Yeah by "those who have a choice" I was referring to people who could pack up their family and leave the city or even the country if must. Should such people want to report about apparent corruption (would have to be first hand experience I guess) in education system, where would they do it in Kunming?
