Lu: I can talk only from my personal experience. KM obviously cant provide such a varieties of night life, entertaiment, high tech for IT biz or public transport efficiency, but local people ( foreigners as well ) are much friendly then SZ. Air polution is not as bad as in other cities ( which u probably already researched ) .In other hand if I imagine travel to SH or other far city every weekend ( I assume you would be working during the week ), it sounds hassle to me already. Not sure if you would nejoy the real beauty of Yunnan sitting in taxi in busy traffic nervious to miss your flight ( depends what time u travel of course ). There are pleaces around u can go to in afternoons, but it all depends how much time and energy u will have after your day work. But as somebody said here already, there are not many "IT brains" around here, so if u have something cool to bring, u might have better chance then in SZ ( really way too many foreigners there already ) . Hopes this helps a bit to make up your mind. I know it sounds too general, but if u have particular question I can answer, I will be happy to do so.

So as far as I read, there is no such a thing like market with bikes, e-bikes etc. Place with 2nd hand any type or "hardware", right? They guy near huangtupo is still on holy. sor another 2 weeks, as I was told, so I wonder if there is any other option ( except xiongdi bro.) ? Is ther only 2 options in whole KM or am I reading it wrong?

laofengzi, right :-) I never though of this one, coz have absolute no experience with HDR. Fair point! :-)

Yereth, sorry, I didn't mean to slagging your photos. I guess its just a personal preference. For 'noisy' filter I usually use VSCO plugin in LT, which takes off the 'perfection' of digital photography and gives impression of analog. It also, with combination opening shadows function, gives that 'painting' impression, rather the real photo. Specially in picture with complex details . However Im trying to not use it to much on photos where is the sky or clouds to avoid actual dots being visible. (2nd from the end) And also with opening shadows to much it may cause that unrealistic colour of the sky ( aqua-ish ), 3rd picture from top. Just my humble opinion, not criticising, we all have different styles of photography and post processing.

Nice pics.,try to use less saturation in post processing, its to grainy ( looks like scans from negative ).

to photographer : try LT5 function : Lense corrections ( chromatic aberration, prof.corrections etc.- usually auto mode is good enough ) to prevent your towers 'falling'. Its a good tool to substitute shifting lense.
Other than that, good job!

Yangshuo sunrise - .I guess its worth to get up for that, nice pics. I would recomend to use graduate filter to avoid overexposed sky with sun and underexposed ground.
