Gets on my tits when I see adverts like this saying 'native speakers' and they then going on to point out they want Americans!
England is where 'native speakers' speak English lol
Well, just a little irksome ;o)

@tigertiger Been there a fair few times because as you say it's good and not to expensive. Ideal for lunchtimes :) I love the Thai restaurant (and Dai) there to, mainly for the crab curry dish I always get. Quite a few good places in the Aegean......
@Dazzer Yes definitely a progressive change, maybe a quick learner ;o)
The avatar has maybe exceeded its shelf life now but will be quickly repackaged and resold to the public lol
@marcuschen Just kidding, I have no idea and don't care anyway :)
As a true contribution to this post I'll add the teppanyaki restaurants (I know not 100% truely kunming food) as a good place to go.
Leejo, a little similar from a guy I knew in school :)
@marcuschen You told me to go to nice restaurant and watch them cook...
Well I try generally only to go to what I call a nice restaurant and only when choice is not available end up elsewhere. It's not the point of watching them cook you need to get past but every step in the process. Someone along that string of steps is a lot more likely to f**k you over than in US or Europe
@Liumingke1234 I take 'one of those places' as being places selling street food or corner stores cooking up, they are for sure gambling lol

I went there for a meal this week not expecting to much as I had been let down by every other western food restaurant that I'd tried. But I was surprised and ate a very enjoyable meal with a wide range of selections to choose from. I'm looking forward to going back as it has many Italian favourites of mine on the menu that I'm looking forward to eating :)
Definitely now my favourite western restaurant in Kunming!
Megatrudge 2014: 400 kilometers across the Gobi
发布者@The Dudeson's reading your reply certainly opened my eyes to the way I had read the article lol
This is definitely a story of two tales lol, the flash git know it all vs the prepared part timers!
Funny he never mentions who came out on top and finished first or how many others finished the race. Just that even with his self proclaimed heroics he was still forced to stop ;o)

Rural China and the painful allure of bound feet
发布者Never seen as anything but disturbing, never mind the word alluring the author likes to use!
Children having their feet broken so parents can marry them of to some family with higher standing, 2014 we call it abuse but look back on past culture as you will.
The evolution of National Day in Kunming
发布者Well ended up nearby the park at parents last night and saw no evidence of fireworks :o(
